I began using jujutsu only recently. One month in, I was really liking it, but couldn’t find a compelling reason to recommend it. Overall, it wasn’t a transformative experience - just a nicer one.
Or so I thought.
Then I switched to a project that needed pre-commit to work, and jj doesn’t currently support it. People have hacked up solutions to get it to work, but I needed to be productive now. So I switched back to git.
Within hours, I found myself being exceedingly cautious about everything. I missed the confidence jj undo gave me. I missed the simplicity of jj new and jj describe.
jj is more than just nicer. It’s awesome!
So of course, I did what everyone would do - I had AI write a song about it.
